Kay ( Kimberly) Randol has a few years of experience working with nonprofit organizations. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies from Saint Edward’s University, she volunteered the following summer at the Multicultural Refugee Coalition in Austin, Texas where she supported refugee families as they settled into the United States after fleeing from conflict that occurred in their native countries. After she earned her master’s degree in Writing from New York University, she worked as the Communications Coordinator for the San Francisco chapter of the American Red Cross where she led volunteers and other AmeriCorps members in distributing care kits to displaced families who lost their homes during the 2017 North Bay wildfires that raged across northern California. During the early years of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Kay joined AIDS United as a Program Assistant who supported the LGBTQIA+ community and people living with HIV/AIDS by sharing information about available resources that would ensure their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. As the Executive Assistant of Programs at ACLU of NC, Kay is excited to contribute to programmatic, administrative work with her fellow employees.
