SB 442 / HB 560: Anti-Trans Foster Care Discrimination

This bill defines child abuse and neglect to exclude a parent’s or caregiver’s refusal to acknowledge or support a child’s gender identity. It prohibits the state from denying foster or adoptive placements based on a family’s unwillingness to support a child's gender transition.
