Acacia Cadogan is a budding communications professional with a focus on advocacy in the non-profit sector. With strong Brooklyn roots, Acacia migrated to Raleigh, NC where she started her professional career after graduating from Shaw University with a degree in Mass Communication. It was there that her love for social justice movements was born, as she led on-campus demonstrations for voting and racial injustices. Moving into her career, she worked with local organizations such as WakeUP Wake County, and the NC Environmental Justice Network, where she was able to advance their social causes through communication strategy, storytelling, and advocacy. She currently works as a Communications Strategist with the ACLU of North Carolina. Outside of work, Acacia enjoys fostering peace through yoga, among other wellness practices, traveling, and connecting with nature.
