This bill would allow public school students to be released from classes for up to five hours per week to attend religious or moral instruction.
Every child has a right to a public education free from religious discrimination or pressure. Allowing religious instruction on public school property, during the school day, and giving school credit for such instruction is an unconstitutional entanglement of church and state.
