SING SING Screening

July 24, 2024 @ 7:00 pm

The ACLU of North Carolina is thrilled to invite you to an exclusive screening of A24's (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Moonlight, Midsommar) highly anticipated film, Sing Sing, starring the remarkable Colman Domingo. As a valued community member of the ACLU of North Carolina, we wanted you to be among the first to experience this powerful and moving film.

Sing Sing is based on a real-life theater program inside New York’s Sing Sing Correctional Facility, featuring an ensemble cast of professional actors and formerly incarcerated individuals who participated in the actual program. The film beautifully captures the transformative power of art in rehabilitation, showcasing a spectrum of emotions from joy and beauty to heartbreak and resilience.

What makes this film even more special is its groundbreaking shared equity model. Every person who worked on the film received the same core pay based on their hours contributed and will equally share in its profits, embodying a spirit of fairness and collaboration that we deeply value.
